Today, May 11, 2024, there is the Brickfilm Day, or BFD for short. It’s a day to celebrate the art of brickfilming. (Brick)film makers from all over the world publish animations on their channels on this day and they all go into one huge playlist on YouTube.
Despite having little free time, I decided to join the celebration this year and made a new video in a super short time. The whole thing took me one night and part of the next day. I beat my record, previously set by animation for the THAC 2024 competition.
But this time the video was much simpler. This is a test and presentation of the fictional KALEXA 35 camera (the similarity of name with the iconic Arri Alexa 35 camera is not accidental), lenses and lights. I had a lot of fun designing film equipment with LEGO and taking product photos.
Okay, enough of this writing, after all, it's a celebration of film, not written text ;) Here's my film:
And here is a playlist with all productions from BFD2024 (might be not complete yet).
