PeFeXeL is a magical tower of magicians and witches. It was created for the LUGPol competition with the requirement to fit 16x16 studs on the surface and to use a minifigure of any "spell caster" type.
I really liked the theme of the competition, because wizards and witches, or rather their elements, are something I have been collecting since I started being an AFOL. I've always been interested in this topic, like everything in fantasy.
And if there are wizards, there must be a tower! The tower is truly magical, because some floors rotate powered by magical power.
All this magic is actually a 9V Power Functions XL Motor (part 58121c01) connected to a 9V Battery Box Power Functions (Rechargeable) (part 84599). I chose this battery because it has speed control. Without it everything was spinning a bit too fast. And there was nowhere to put some reductions.
And where did all this fit in such a small tower?
I'm telling you now. We go from the bottom to the top:
• Rocks level - there is a Battery Box there
• Floor 0 - behind the door there is an XL motor, it occupies 100% of the floor
• Floor 1 - rotates
• Floor 2 - inside there is a mechanism for changing the direction of rotation of the floors, it is very simple but fills out almost entire interior
• Floor 3 - rotates with flying witches
Additionally, the Battery Box can be easily removed thanks to the easily detachable rocks at the back. I think that's all for this post. I'm attaching a video and a few photos.
P.S. This is the 100th post on this blog! I'm a little shocked that I've created so much of this already. Let's pop some champagne! :D
2. Spell-casters are discussing magic stuff and in the cave you can find until recently a symbol of wealth - a LEGO goat.
