In 2018 the LEGO set from the movie Tron: Legacy was released. I bought it shortly after its premiere. I really love the Tron style. The minifigures are fantastic! The light cycles themselves are okay but I quickly rebuilt them into something else.

Time flies by. As I'm writing this post it's been seven years since I built these spinners! I even had the instructions partially completed. I never published them… Like with many other things. But as you can see I've been catching up with posting MOCs for a while now :)

October 10, 2025 is the premiere of the new movie in the universe. Tron: Ares. I don't think there's a better time to publish this MOC. The previous film (Tron: Legacy) premiered on December 31, 2010, and the first part (Tron) on July 9, 1982. With dates like these the next movie will probably be in 2050. I won't wait that long to publish the MOC. ;)

P.S. This is going to be a bit of a random paragraph but I have to write about it while posting Tron: Legacy MOC. Daft Punk's music from this movie is simply amazing. Incredible soundtrack! One of a kind. I listen to it very often. Ahhh :)

P.P.S. As I write this I've already bought my movie tickets for Tron: Ares but I haven't seen it yet. I have no idea what to expect, I've only seen a snippet of the trailer... Maybe I'll add something here after the screening :)

Lots of cool scenes. But also a lot of boring ones. Overall it's a cool concept but I feel like something's missing. The weakest of the three parts but still worth seeing. It is definitely not a bad film. But it certainly won't become a cult classic either.
